RETIRED USAF COLONEL BRIAN FIELDS REPORTS UFOS ABOVE HOME IN VAN BUREN AK January 19, 2007 Van Buren, Arkansas. - Retired UNITED STATES AIR FORCE COLONEL BRIAN FIELDS reported witnessing several UNIDENTIFIED FLYING OBJECTS over his home his home in Van Buren, Arkansas. Fields served in the air force for 30 years as a jet fighter pilot. Fields reported observing several very bright lights as he looked up in the sky in the southeast direction. This was the Report Given by Col. Brian Fields in 2007: "I believe these lights were not of this world, and I feel a duty and responsibility to come forward. At first I thought they were landing lights from an aircraft... As I continued to observe them they began to slowly disappear, then suddenly one reappeared, followed by two, then three. On at least one occasion four or five appeared. Each time they would slowly fade and eventually disappear This occurred several times and when they would reappear they might do so in differing numbers and in different positions, sometimes in a triangular shape, sometimes stacked on top of each other, sometimes line abreast, etc. " Van Buren UFO "When the objects appeared they might stay illuminated 10 or more minutes. I'm certain it wasn't an aircraft [from Earth]. It's not anything I ever had any experience with. They were some kind of energy or something." COL. FIELDS, who is knowledgeable in flight crafts, does not believe that what he saw were flares or any known aircraft. Unlike other previous sighting reports, that were later explained to be flares dropped by Air Force training planes in AZ and NV, Fields described and photographed white, yellow and orange lights appearing very different than flares. Mike Holloway, an amateur astronomer who was taking photographs of Comet McNaught at the same time as the colonel's sighting, stated that what Fields had witnessed was something quite different from the comet. Holloway commented, "I do not think this has anything to do with the comet that was visible in the west sky just after sunset. I imaged the comet on the 8th and 9th of January, and these lights look nothing like the comet." There was no further investigation of these UFOS, despite the credibility of the source.
