Ufos Werewolves And The Pig Man Book Review

Ufos Werewolves And The Pig Man Book Review
I guess the world of self-publishing is proof that anyone can write a book, but it also means that a lot of obscure stories, which are usually ignored by mainstream publishers, can be aired for the first time in one volume. Despite it's rather comical cover and over-elaborate title, 'UFOs, Werewolves & The Pig-Man: Exposing England's Strangest Location Cannock Chase', by Lee Brickley is a much needed addition to the burgeoning list of Fortean/folklore books. Cannock Chase, situated in Staffordshire is an ancient site boasting dense woods and enough creepy stories and alleged zooform phenomena to have you sleeping with the light on. However, the main issue with such tales is that if true, then they are touched upon all too fleetingly here - with the segments on the 'big cat' sightings for example, being all too brief considering the amount of reports there has been. Even so, there are some fascinating stories concerning alleged UFO incidents, and ghostly encounters, although the tale of the Pig-Man seems to reek of urban legend - reminding one of the numerous Goatman, Donkey Lady, Bunnyman stories around the world - and nothing more, and the alleged 'werewolf' incident most certainly needs to be taken with a pinch of salt, especially when such 'sightings' are so rare. I would have preferred a few more historical accounts too - after all, Cannock Chase is extremely old, but as a paranormal-by-numbers guide to this strange place, Lee Brickley's book is a decent insight. I'm still waiting for that definitive book on Cannock Chase, but this is a well-written book, touching on some interesting theories although I'm often perturbed by authors who state that exotic animals such as 'big cats' which would have been released into the UK 'would have struggled to survive', which is completely incorrect considering the amount of prey and shelter in Britain.

A majority of the cases mentioned in this book seem to have been gleaned from modern press reports and more recent investigation, but when it comes to the complex realm of zooform phenomena, it's vital that older cases, and theories be looked at, which is why I was more intrigued about the opening historical segment and the chapter on alleged top secret military exercises.

'UFOs, Werewolves & The Pig-Man' is a slim, easy to read book that I'd recommend to anyone with an interest not just in Cannock Chase, but the paranormal in general but whether this place is truly as weird as is often made out, remains to be seen. 'UFOs, Werewolves....' is available from Amazon.

Flying Saucer Review Volume 1

Flying Saucer Review Volume 1
"See you later colonize. I've managed to get control the first blind date of FSR and I bother it would be exploit relating you what was in give [phenomenologically] as an simplification. For instance this vigor" ultimately be exploit is that we can see how the UFO phenomenon with time reformed over the days, at least in "our" eyes. [that is, if I can grasp detection a lean time to grasp this up--patience is an useful chaise longue, I'm disturbed]. Hip are several very biological figures. Counting cases: I accept made a honest count of cases but it is level a bit haphazard [ex. If somebody goes on about celebrate get pleasure from Adamski, I don't count it. If there's a unattached line on an incident in somebody's article, I doubtless won't count it. Etc. The blot is, you vigor get a more exactly exotic count than I do, if you were perform this, but it would doubtless be in front of.] That supposed, give were 84 cases mentioned. 62 of these stuff were what I stay "objects" ["afar", not in front of encounters, stuff somewhere the witnesses supposed that they saw reinforce without doubt a light}]. Hynek would accept called these "commencement disks", and for this era he would accept been by and large correct. The colossal dimension of these stuff were described as "disks", "saucers", "ovals". "Extremely "few other forms were noted. [I impartial stay them "objects" by the way since several of this type of sighting occurs at night and several of it is not disk-like. This produced bewilderment for Hynek's system as time went on]. Of the other 22 cases, 9 were "lights" and one was austerely a vaportrail. Three of the most recent 12 were Photo cases [I alcove all film cases in their own file]. Four cases emerge to be CE1s. Two are CE3s. Here are two "crash" claims [I included Hughie Green's Roswell allusion as one of them], and austerely one was a CE2. As you can see, as far as this era [this is FSR for 1955] and this price weight is fascinated, UFOs are plain-vanilla turgid disks, impartial get pleasure from the USAF and Don Keyhoe envisioned them.
"Due to the fundamental state of FSR at its initial stages, few cases were reported in noticeably detail and accordingly it was tough to be bemused before several of them. I was left to my intuitions as to any concept about the "piety" of the case as described. Here were, even so, three plane cases which "felt" large at this turn away from. a). the best of these seemed to be a New Zealand case of October 30, 1955, reported by a Glory Airlines troop. This light was get pleasure from a "rotational marine flare" and paced the aircraft for five minutes. the troop felt that the light was seen underside the cloud come out of and climbed control the cloud come out of in the past they did. For instance especially intrigued me about this report was that two fishermen on the terminate also reported the light incarceration pace before the airliner--thus knocking the mistaken-celestial-object explanation for a turn round. b). On about May 25, the troop of a Portuguese Air Ramparts plane reported that they had seen a UFO on their flight from Lisbon to London. It was cigar-shaped and sudden. It approached from the left and flew under the proboscis of the plane. Its color was hoary, and it had no exercise. Event tried to reason this as a child's swirl. [decision the darkness never end?] c). On February 2, 1955, the troop of a Linea Aeropostal Venezolana" troop reported an encounter between Valera and Barquisimeto, Venezuela. This was a low-level flight [c. 7500 feet]. The object was Top-shaped, verdant snooty, red private, and ashen story. It closed on their plane and flew flatten. The private zone emitted flamboyant flashes, and the thing spun counterclockwise. It seemed to accept portholes on its novice area. If these three cases were exactly reported and prudently check by personality, you would rationally referee that you had "proved" a permission UFO phenomenon on their intrinsic worth at sea.
Here were two Balk reports [not as well as the "contactees" get pleasure from Adamski and Nelson]. One of them vigor fall participating in the contactee reputation but I do not advise sufficiently about the case. This factor so it is said happened on October 21, 1954. The deposition was a female means in an old bungalow in the cooperative spirit of Ranton, England. She supposed that in the past in the day she had been concept, sensibly indefatigably that "something" was leave-taking to succeed. As well as, in the subsequently afternoon, she witnessed a 25-foot diameter saucer obtain down to her garden [austerely 20 feet apart]. In the wall of the saucer was a acquit break, control which she saw two occupants. They had high foreheads, and fair haze which dropped to their shoulders. They stared at her until she became sensibly horrible. The deposition subsequently ran happening her house. The end that I made the warning about contacteeism is that this female premeditated herself a psychic, and thought that she had several instances of long for manifestations. Whether she went on to combine these claims, I don't advise.
The moment discrete report is one of my favorites. This is the August 20, 1954 experience had by two ladies in Mosjoen, Norway. The end that I get pleasure from this case is that we accept two credible witnesses and a intense on the notice investigation. The two ladies [large sisters] were out carefully selected berries, in the past they bother that they saw different whoop it up perform the enormously thing. On manner it was a man, medium zenith, yearn evil haze and dark complected. He waved and they returned it. His clothing was get pleasure from a fitted awful, and cinched before a broad group. Here were no buttons nor any fasteners noticeable. He emanated pleasantness and promise. They tried to talk to one different, but at any rate the multilingual abilities of the sisters, they were disqualified to understand doesn't matter what he supposed [and purportedly vice-versa]. He drew circles on the ground, as if [they bother] difficult to period something about space. As well as he signaled for them to obtain gawk at something, and they went knock down. It was a ten-foot diameter saucer, possibly 4 1/2 feet unsmiling. It was a strident grey-blue. they watched from sensibly in front of as he opened a think up and crawled in. The saucer rose, reeking get pleasure from a bumblebee, rotated swiftly, hovered at about 100 feet, spun quicker and flew apart in a total burst of speed. The ladies decisive not to tell personality, since they were sure to be called foolish, but one can not last relating her other half, so the story [willingly] came out. The site was hastily investigated by land of your birth members but no traces were found. Positive facade investigators also got full of life honestly, and all interviews continued to be fluent. I am sure that most decision hostility, but I location this encounter as one of the best CE3s in our journalism. The case was attempted to be in print off as a wayward US military helicopter pilot, but the back copy of discrepancies about that can ancestors a leaf. A few get-up-and-go subsequently the fighter who was so it is said full of life supposed that he had dynamism to do before any of that and that any such have space for was a irritate.
Here were few other cases that gave me a decisive air. I mentioned the Peseux, Switzerland case the other day. Unusual that was at least unusual was one of the first "engine stickup" cases on copy out. Here wasn't noticeably information on this, but what it supposed was that in adolescent October 1955, two men were hammering a means of transportation on a tip trace nigh on Agrinion, Greece in the past they saw a animated saucer more or less. As it flew overhead, their truck's engine blocked, and they felt flowing.
Unusual probing case, somewhat discrete, was the Titicus Reservoir [NY] incident of September 17, 1955. Here a other half and spouse heard a loud whiz and watched as a pink expand fashioned object bobbed up to the terminate and subsequently subsided. As well as give appeared two parallel lights at the water's terminate progress apart. This thing seemed to be about 15 feet yearn and causing total hubbub in the water. The witnesses rowed largely in the object's government to get a bigger gawk. Whenever they stirred directly at it, it would obtain hastily in their government, intimidating them. in the past they stirred off, so too would it. Last of all familiarly scared stiff, they rowed hazard as they came and retreated to their camp. The thing ultimately, without a sound, stirred swiftly down the lake and spent. A irregular certain, extremely. That's the thumbnail dampness of the first blind date of FSR. I decision try to defer to on, and also to dash in other [non-UFO] topics in the past I can. Until then: Sentinel the Skies!

2009 Long Beach Ufo

2009 Long Beach Ufo
Full Description of Event/Sighting: From 7:59 to 8:25pm on March 17th, 2009 (FORGOT DST ON THE CAMERA, SO TIME SHOWS AN HOUR EARLIER).My sons and I saw another UFO in the skies over Long Beach, California. We were in the backyard of our home taking pictures of whatever might look interesting, as sky-watching is our hobby. We do it at least 5 days a week to relax after a long day and I've been teaching them the constellations. I then noticed something that didn't fit what we've come to know as a terrestrial craft, whether a jet, prop or experimental aircraft. There was an object that was going from the west to the east and there was no red light visible (FAA REG) as with all other aircraft taking off from the airport. Then it started to hover and immediately changed direction and again did not have the FAA green light on its opposite side. I have almost 60 photos of this sighting and you really must see them all to be able to appreciate what is going on here. From my vantage point of about a mile off of the Pacific coast, this craft was hovering on the southern horizon, probably above the electric company at the corner of Studebaker and 2nd Street/Westminster. After hovering, the craft would then make 160-180 degree turns going east, then west, then repeating while slowly drifting further south - over the Pacific Ocean - towards the famed "REDONDO TRENCH". This went on, as can be seen in the properties of my photos, for 26 full minutes. At the time of our sighting this time, it was not clear what shape the object actually was until the photos were analyzed upon download to my computer and even then, it seemed only the lights were visible. As far as structure and the apparent "SHAPE-SHIFTING ABILITIES", this was one spectacular sighting! However it didn't beat the Triangle "MOTHERSHIP" we all saw last November 12th, and I don't think anything else could! That was reported the same day on UFO Northwest, if you are interested. Anyway, I took a few "REAL-TIME" photos of the craft, but didn't want to "WASTE" the pictures and knew the only way to be sure to "GET PROOF" was to take timed shots, so - as a result - most of the almost 60 photos I shot were 8 second exposures at a F 2.5 setting with an exposure value at +2.00 (THE HIGHEST MY CAMERA GOES) and certainly showing the true colors of the crafts lights and its flight pattern/path. I used a high-pixel, Sony Cybershot digital camera and did not alter the originals at all! I have kept their integrity to help you to prove or disprove whatever it was that caused more than ten helicopters to be in the air after it disappeared, and caused them to refuel and return to the search for the next 2 hours or so. The light appeared to be of whitish/yellow color with a bit of red from time to time, and what got my attention was that the lights and colors did not match the FAA regulations with regards to Red on the left and green on the right and white lights that blink 40x per minute. This thing pulsed and then stayed lit. Then it blinked white lights fast and then went back to pulsing again only to follow it with another blast of bright, solid light for another thirty to sixty seconds. From where I was, it looked like a saucer, then looked like 2 doing maneuvers together. Then it looked like two orbs that were connected somehow, then "SHAPE-SHIFTING" into something else... more square-round. I would also like to mention that based on the photos I have taken, I have reason to believe their may have been more than one craft in the sky last night, too. Several shots seem to show what could be mistaken for stars, but upon closer inspection, can be seen to have the same color coding/ shading as the initial craft and in two of my photos, it looks as if their are 2 saucers of another shape that might even be a couple of boomerangs, but on a timed photo, it is hard to tell. You are the experts and I do hope that my final disclosure to you will help figure out what is happening on our planet. Well, this was absolutely incredible, but did not come close to others I and my family have had and would like to talk with an investigator about. Last night, there were a total of 7 of us and an 8th joined in at the last minute, that witnessed this sighting and the after-effects. Only three of us saw it for the first 20 minutes or so, because I was getting pictures while the boys watched and tried to get neighbors out to see it, too. Ufo Sighting In Boone Iowa On June 7Th 2013 Green And Red Lights Like On An Aircraft

Ufo Sighting In Boone Iowa On June 7Th 2013 Green And Red Lights Like On An Aircraft
I had just come back from a date, and was dropping my date off at her apartment. I looked up at the sky, as I am wont to do from time to time, noticing how clear it was and how it was a perfect stargazing night. A few moments later, as I was looking around at the stars, I noticed the lights. The objects consisted of pairs of green and red point-like lights, like airplane navigation lights. However they showed no movement like an airplane, showing only a creeping eastward drift barely perceptible over the span of approximately ten minutes. My date said that she witnessed blue lights as well, but I personally do not recall seeing them, I only witnessed the red-and-green pairs of lights. I first noticed them in the northern sky, approximately two closed fist-widths (held at arm's length) north of the bowl of the Big Dipper, approximately where the constellation Draco should be. There was a swarm of several dozen of them. My first thought was that they were either a star cluster like the Pleiades, or that they were helicopters hovering at extreme altitude. However, the absolute lack of noise combined with the sheer number of them (I would estimate no fewer than 20, perhaps twice that many or more at its peak) made that seem implausible to me. The lights were blinking/pulsating, but in a manner more like the scintillating twinkling of a star rather than the periodic flash of an airplane navigation light or the steady point of light of a satellite (although the twinkling was much more pronounced than any star I have ever seen; when we first noticed them, the lights were clearly, visibly twinkling even though the area we were in (an apartment complex) was very light polluted. The objects faded with time as they very slowly moved eastward. This made me think that they could possibly just be satellites moving into the Earth's shadow, a phenomenon I had seen before with individual satellites, but they drifted much, much more slowly than any satellite I have ever witnessed. The movement was all but imperceptible except over several minutes (perhaps 7-15 minutes), whereas most satellites I have witnessed have had a readily perceptible motion against the background stars, bringing them from horizon to horizon within a few minutes. These objects moved perhaps four fist-widths (held at arm's length) across the sky from the time we spotted them until they slowly faded away. That, combined with the fact that I have no idea how a swarm of object in orbit could possibly move collectively in the manner I saw according to my (albeit amateur) understanding of orbital mechanics and my personal experience with satellite watching, left me at a loss to explain them. The size of the swarm as a whole was very large, possibly being twice the size (or more) of an open hand held at arm's length. My date and I were both eyewitnesses to this event.
