SOME OF THE FOLLOWING TEXT WAS POSTED IN THE SPRING OF 2010. I HAVE ADDED A FEW LINKS AND A RECENT ARTICLE. IN LIGHT OF THE KETCHUM STUDY, BIGFOOT DNA AND THE INTEREST IN THE ZANA STORY, I DECIDED TO EXPAND ON THE OLDER POST AND ADD SOME UPDATES:
The skull of the Bigfoot was excavated almost four decades ago. People residing in the area for years still remember meeting it when it was still alive.
Local residents who buried a mother and a son indicated location of their graves. A rubber shoe branded 1888 was removed from the woman's burial (a mirror at the head indicated it was a female). Approximately the same time Zana, a Bigfoot, died.
The researcher's heart was beating with anticipation of the unusual find, as never before scientists laid their hands on a Bigfoot, alive or dead.
The excavation was conducted by Igor Burtsev, at the time, a young scientist, and today a leading Russian cryptozoologist. He spent several years trying to obtain the right for graves excavation in the Abkhazian village Tkhina, where Zana used to live. As luck would have it, his old college friend, an Abkhazian, became a local official upon his return to the motherland from Moscow.
"I could not have seen Zana myself, she passed away 50 years before I was born," says Apollon Dumava, former chair of the local Council. "But my older relatives remembered her. How could you forget her? She was 6.6 feet tall, had long strong arms covered with hair, curvy hips that inspired the desire of local men, large hanging breasts, flat forehead and huge red eyes.
Zana was very strong and easily carried 110 pounds sacks with grain to the water mill with only one hand.
Apollon said his father told him that Zana was caught in a gulch of the Adzyubzha River.
She was hunted down by a local merchant. Zana was incredibly smart and could disappear a second before she would be caught. Yet, the hunter outsmarted her. He left red male underwear at the meadow frequented by the hairy creature. She was caught while trying to put the underwear on her head and hips.
The captive was named Zana (zan means black in Georgian) and placed in a ditch enclosed with a fence made of sharpened logs. She was growling, throwing herself at kids who bothered her with sticks and dirt clods. Only a few years later, when Zana was slightly tamed, she was moved to a woven hut. She slept on the ground in a cave she dug out. She never learned how to use a spoon and a plate so she ate with her hands. She was always naked. She never learned to speak, but recognized her name. Zana could take boots off her owner's feet. She was also great at imitating the sound of squeaking gate, and it made her very happy every time she did.
Zana was not surrounded by angels. Locals made her drink wine, it did not take her long to get drunk and become sexually aggressive. There were always those willing to entertain themselves with a monster. They say during drunk orgies her owner would establish a prize for the one who "mounts" Zana. The prizes would always find their winners.
When Zana gave birth to her first child, she took it to a creek and washed it in ice cold water. The baby died. The same happened to her second child. After that, the locals decided to take babies from the silly mother. Her next children survived. There were four of them, two boys and two girls. People had no idea who their fathers were. Years later, before a census, children were assigned to a local resident Kamshish Sabekia, who acknowledged "playing" with Zana before he got married.

Locals remember Khwit the most. He was 6.6 feet tall, had grayish skin like his mother's, thick curly hair and full lips. He had lived in Tkhina all his life and passed away in 1954 before he turned 70. Apollon remembers him well. Like his mother, Khwit did not like children who used to get into his garden to steal grapes and pears. Once Khwit had a fight with his relative and jumped him. Defending himself, his opponent hit him with a mattock and cut his arm along the elbow. The arm had to be amputated. Apollon has a memory of this incredibly strong person plowing his lot with one left arm.
Khwit was a human being, he could speak, got married twice and had two daughters and a son.
I was looking for his daughter in Abkhazia, but she was electrocuted a year earlier. I met with her son, Robert Kukubava, and asked him for permission to take pictures of his family album.
Faces of Khwit and his sister bear resemblance to Zana's. Khwit's older daughter Tatyana does not look like her grandmother apart from her eyes. Raisa and her brother Shuliko are undoubtedly Khwit's children. They have similar lower jaws, protruding cheekbones, full lips and dark skin.
Within the last 30 years Igor Burtsev found nearly all Zana's descendants. His main goal, however, was to find Zana, or, her skeleton and skull, as well as Khwit's remnants.
Once, 35 years ago, a female skull was excavated at the Tkhin cemetery. Yet, the anthropological analysis provided evidence that the skull belonged to a black woman who somehow got to the Caucuses.

ZANA THE NINETEENTH CENTURY WILD NEANDERTHAL WOMAN
She was given the name Zana by Russian researchers after she was captured naked and living in the wilderness by hunters in the Ochamchir region of Georgia in the year 1850. From all accounts, she was the closest thing to a live, captured version of a Bigfoot creature on record. Some thought she might have been a throwback to the Neanderthal.
Zana was described as something between a human and an ape. She showed some degree of intelligence after some time in captivity, although she never developed the ability to speak or adopt social skills. Some said she was capable of doing hard labor such as grinding grain and farm work, but little more.
Even though she lived at a time when cameras were around, we could find no surviving photographs of either Zana, or any of the four children she reportedly bore following her capture. The children were sired by various unidentified males, and were said to have been relatively normal humans even though they all possessed some of the physical characteristics of their mother.
Her general description was that she was a large hairy humanoid with thick arms, legs and fingers, a "massive bosom" and large hips. Her skin was black or a dark gray in color, and the hair on her body was a reddish-black. She could splay the toes on her feet. Her face was broad, with high cheekbones, a flat broad nose with turned-out nostrils, a muzzle-like jaw, wide mouth and large teeth. She had a low forehead and her eyes were a reddish tinge.
It was said that at the time of her capture, Zana was a wild creature. After being brought into captivity, she had to be kept caged for the first few years until her behavior became mellowed and she could be taught to perform domestic tasks and behave herself to some degree while in society.
Among her biggest problems, however, was an unwillingness to wear clothing. Zana lived as a nude and hairy beast in the wild, and throughout her life in human society, they said she resisted having to be dressed.
That Zana existed appears to be well established. She was not a native myth. Her two sons and two daughters, and their offspring, many of whom still live in Russia, attest to this. The problem for historians and anthropologists has been just what was she, and from where did she spring?
That she could have human children after copulating with humans proved that she was not an animal. Some suggested that she may have been a genetic throwback to the Neanderthal, a humanoid that some believe cross bred with the homo sapiens, which was the reason they went extinct.
Another theory was that Zana was a deformed baby who was left in the wilderness by her mother and somehow survived to be a feral creature at the time of her capture.
Russian zoologist Alexander Mashkovtsev suggested that Zana was a relict hominoid called Abnauayu, a legendary "Wildman of the forest" said to live in certain areas of the Caucasus Mountains. These creatures have reportedly been observed, and even captured more than once. A Russian doctor, V. S. Karapetian, reportedly examined a Abnauayu in 1941 which was described as a hairy human like creature that was incapable of speech and harbored lice. Are they proof of the mythological "Bigfoot" monster?
If Mashkovtsev is correct, Zana thus became the most known Abnauayu to have ever been captured and brought into human captivity.
As the story was told, Zana put up a violent fight when the hunters surrounded and captured her. They reportedly hit her with cudgels, gagged her mough with felt and shackled her legs to a log to hold her down. Then she was literally carried back into a so-called "civilized" society where she was sold like livestock, passing first to D. M. Achba, the titular head of the Zaadan region. After this, she became the property of a nobleman, Edgi Genaba, who carried her off still shackled and chain to his estate in the town of Tkhina on the Mokva River.
Zana was first lodged in a strong cage where she acted like a wild beast. Her food was thrown to her since no one dared to enter the enclosure. She dug a hold in the ground where she slept. After some three years in this environment, they said Zana tamed down and was moved to a wattle-fence enclosure under an awning near the house. At first she was tethered, but later allowed to go free and wander about. Like any tamed animal, she never went far from the place where she received food.
Villagers sometimes teased her by throwing sticks at her through the fence. Zana would snatch them, bare her teeth and howl. She never spoke a word, but merely made animal-like sounds. She responded to her name, however, and was taught to carry out commands given to her by Genaba.
She displayed great strength and could perform many tasks that were above the ability of even the most powerful of men. Zana died and was buried at Tkhina sometime in the 1880s or 1890s. My fianc'e and I were exactly so getting disembark from seeing a movie Saturday night on July 16, 2011. It was roughly speaking 10:20. My fianc'e was parking the car in the garage. I had gotten out of the car in the driveway beside he pulled wearing the garage, as it is a securely fit.
As he was parking the car, I saw from the southwest course, everything flying in sky next red lights. Doesn't matter what it was was flying at the same uniform speed ardor a plane would and was systematically flying ardor a plane would. It was flying low. At first, I impression it was everything ardor how a not a lot plane would fly next trailer tied to it, but at night. Quiet, considering it was near enough quicker and as a result overhead, it was a circle of red lights next no trailer. An old Turkish saying goes: "The past and the future of the Turkish nations are written in the stars."
When my ancestors, the Shamanic Turks, started their journey from Central Asia towards today's Turkey 5000 years ago, they brought with them a very important tradition, and a vital view of the cosmos that resonates today. They knew that we are not alone in the universe, that life and intelligent people can be found in other stars-and that these people come to Earth to visit and interact with us.
Maybe that's why in modern Turkish society UFO sightings or abduction cases are considered normal. Maybe that's why Turkish people's approach is extremely open minded and understanding to Extra Terrestrial contacts and visits. When there is a UFO sighting you can see the news on the front pages of the most important national papers and you can watch the coverage on prime time TV.
Turkey was and is a special place ripe with spiritual and paranormal unexplained cases and mysterious places and our folklore is woven with tales of these things. Our mythology and history are a living proof of the cosmic consciouness. The original Turks were called "G"okT"urk." G"ok means sky, T"urk means human, one, people. The translation: "Sky People". In our mythology and traditions the contacts with people who came from the sky always have a very important place. Our very early creation stories started with the existence of "Flying Gods" Kara-han. Everything started with a God who had the gift or the ability of flight. Ancient Turks also believed in a God who lives in the sky and they called him "Sky God". Our epic creation story starts like this...
"Now there is no earth,There is only water, only endless waterClear to the four corners of nothingWithin this brightness, within this blankness,Is only God Kara-han, the Gander flying lonely."
Not only the Gods, also the leaders of ancient Turkish tribes had different, paranormal qualities. One of them was Oguz Kagan who was a historical personality and the founder of the nomadic Hun-Turk Empire over 2200 years ago.
His life started in extraordinary conditions. According to tradition he started to talk when he was only 3 days old. In fact he was a celestial soul who lived in a physical human body. When he was born his skin color was blue. The general aspects of his body were quite different from any other man. His feet were like a bull's, his hands were like lion claws. And his body was covered with hair. This description easily brings to mind a hybrid being who has half-human/half non-human physical characteristics. And the most important thing is that he was accepted and highly respected because of his different aspects instead of being rejected because he was different from the others.
When the time came for him to find a wife and start to a family another interesting encounter happened...
"One day Oguz Kagan was praying to God. It got dark. And a piece of light fell to earth from the night sky. The light was brighter than the moon. Inside of the light there was a girl. Oguz Kagan saw the girl, she was alone. She was wearing a spark on her head, a spark that was brighter than the North Star.
Oguz Kagan liked the beautiful girl. They slept together and she got pregnant. The next day while Oguz Kagan was sitting in his tent he was visited by a male wolf. The wolf came from a ball of light which suddenly appeared in the tent. From this marriage Oguz Kagan had 3 sons. He named them Sun, Moon and Star."
Oguz Kagan is a human being from the earth, and he makes love with (an alien) woman who comes from the sky in a ball of light. Also a wolf comes to visit him from nowhere traveling in a ball of light too.
In one of the stories about him there is an interesting description of a metal house. The story says:
"Oguz saw a house on the road. The roof was made from gold, the windows silver and the walls iron. The house had a door but there wasn't any key."
In another narration we see the description of a "house with wings." A flying house maybe? This house has many corners and it's shaped like a polygon. I have to add that thousands of years ago Shamanic Turks were nomadic, they used to live in tents just like Native Indians. A house made of iron was something completely unknown to them.
Another story from the Uygur Turks:
"There was a huge tree between two rivers. One day from the sky a light landed over the tree. With the light, music started to play. At the same time the trunk of the tree was swelling out and getting larger. The tree was opened and inside there were five rooms. Bugu-han the leader of the Uygurs was born from these rooms (or he came out from there)." Something landed from sky with light and music. Here a tale from Turkey's ancient tradition anticipates another tale which has become a modern classic of UFO lore: "Close Encounters of the Third Kind", in which the flying saucer sends code messages with color and music.
WOLF VISITS IN TURKISH MITHOLOGY
The wolf was a very important animal and a mystical symbol for G"ok T"urks. They believed that they were created by the wolves. Wolf was a noble, protective animal and a spiritual guide. Many other creation stories start with the visit of a wolf. Another sample;
"A Turkish tribe leader had two beautiful daughters. They were such gorgeous girls that no man from earth was worthy to marry them. He had a dream. In his dream he was told that his daughters were made to marry to Gods, and a new nation would rise from this union. Tribe leader built a high tower and put the girls there. They started to pray and wait for the Gods. And one day the Sky-God they had been awaiting arrived. The God was in the shape of a male wolf. The girls realized that he was the one that they had to marry. The wolf took the girls with him. They got married, and from this marriage were born the Oguz and Uygur Turks."
In ancient Turkish society, the symbol of wolf was everywhere, in daily life, in narrations, religious beliefs, in the flags and in money bills. Interestingly, in the present day some alien abductions start with the appearance of a wolf. The abductee may see a wolf at the beginning or at the end of the abduction case. Writer and abductee Whitley Streiber stated that he saw the wolves during and after some of his abduction cases. And earlier, long before he started to remember his alien abductions, when he was writing fiction, one of his best sellers was "Wolfen". It was a story told from the vision of wolves. Many abductees mention the hypnotic effect of Gray Alien's big deep dark eyes. And sometimes the memory of the Gray is shifted with the memory of a Wolf.
NIGHT TIME ATTACKS AND SHAPE SHIFTERS
For my ancestors, Shamanic tradition was a path between earth and sky. Shaman was the special soul incarnated in human body, healer, psychic who can contact with celestial beings and visitors from other worlds. Today's supernatural legends were the daily reality or the nighmares of the darkness for Shamanic Turks. The existence of dangerous and aggresive types of non-human beings who spent time chasing and harming new born babies and their mothers created a great deal of fear in many Turkish tribes in Central Asia.
According to written texts the Ancient Turks' biggest enemy was a creature called "Al Karisi" (Scarlett Woman). This was a tall, very ugly looking female creature, with a big head, long hands and nails and strange-shaped feet. It is also said that she wore a red costume. It is said that Scarlett Woman used to eat the internal organs of the new born babies, their mothers, and horses. She was also trying to get young girls and young boys as her victims.
She was also a perfect shape shifter. Sometimes she showed herself as a woman and in other times changed into a cat, dog, goat, bird or a fox. There are some cases where Scarlett Woman changed to look like a family member of the young mother.
In some regions and in some villages of modern Turkey they still fear the Scarlett Woman.The stories about her are always similar. She gets into the victim's room. Suddenly the victim loses the ability to move, talk or scream. Scarlett Woman has psychic powers such as creating a total hypnosis or cataleptic condition over her victims. The victim can see and hear everything but cannot speak, scream, ask for help or move even though he/she is still conscious.
Only a very quick reaction of praying can save the victim from the hands of the monster. Sometimes one or two men from the family will stay with the mother and her newborn baby and they try to keep the mother awake. Because sleep is one of attractions to Scarlett Woman. When there is no protection the result is a sudden death or a long term illness. Another protection against Scarlett Woman is to stick a needle or stake into her heart just like the vampire legends.
General aspects of an alien abduction start with a huge heaviness and the difficulty of movement. The abductee can see and hear everything but cannot speak, scream or move. Maybe alien abduction is not a very contemporary phenomenon. Maybe this procedure started a long time ago and it was called something else according to time and the geographical regions and beliefs of the world.

We MUST have had some help from above, from entities far more intelligent and evolved than we.Otherwise, how could we have built those amazing Egyptian pyramids and erected those massive stone statues on Easter Island, or the meticulously intricate blocks that make up Puma Punku in Bolivia... and what of the many glyphs, cave and rock paintings, carvings, drawings and statuettes from our distant past that appear to portray "helmeted" figures that do not look quite human, or those of strange craft whizzing by in the sky? Are all these "archeo-enigmas" proof that our ancestors mingled with the star people, and left us clues in their art, architecture, myths and religious texts?While many argue that there is no proof we humans needed a little help from above to make those huge jumps forward in our evolution, there are many who insist that the archaeological evidence is clear... we were once hanging out with aliens, maybe even breeding with them, or having their DNA spliced into our own, possibly against our knowledge or will. The theory also posits that these aliens were from advanced civilizations, coming to visit lowly human Earthlings and impart what they knew of the vast cosmos and all possibilities therein. Speculation includes locations both within and outside of our known universe, where the laws of physics might allow for travel between worlds.But... what about travel between times? If we entertain the ancient astronaut theory, and there is compelling "circumstantial evidence" to give it serious thought, must we accept that the aliens that intervened were indeed aliens at all? Might they have been... dare I say... US? Humans of the future, coming back to teach, warn and guide the humans of the past? Lest you think that a ridiculously unfounded statement, let me bring up an interesting subject.ROSWELL.In the summer of 1947, a mysterious object crashed on a ranch in the desert near Roswell, New Mexico, creating a firestorm of ongoing controversy. Original news stories claimed it a flying saucer, but were immediately suppressed in favor of a weather balloon story courtesy of the authorities... the classic cover-up. Roswell is now the stuff of legends, as well as movies, TV shows, books by the dozen and continued debate and discussion as to exactly what happened on that fateful date in history. Were alien bodies discovered at the crash site, as many claim, and whisked away to a top-secret hangar at Wright-Patterson AFB? Was the craft later back-engineered at the notorious Area 51 in Nevada? Was there an alien autopsy done on the crash victims, as claimed by a TV show years ago?We still really don't know what happened at Roswell, but there is an ancient alien/astronaut link that adds to the mystery. According to a renowned U.S. Navy Commander named George W. Hoover, the aliens may have been human beings from the future... us... come back to, well, interact with... us.Allegedly, Hoover had top-secret clearance as part of his work as a Naval Intelligence Officer to view the Roswell debris and bodies during the 1950s...and he eventually told a very select group of people before his death of his beliefs. Those people included his own son, George Hoover, Jr. and later ufologist and researcher William J. Birnes, both of whom were made privy to what the elder Hoover knew before his death. Hoover stated during interviews that he believed the aliens were not extraterrestrial, but were extratemporal -- as in time travelers. In addition, he believed they were not really aliens at all... but humans of the future, with incredible abilities to use the power of consciousness to morph reality and travel through the landscape of time.Hoover's story mirrors other stories from some ufologists and many UFO abductees that aliens may have been, and still may be, humans of the future who have found the technology to overcome the limitations of light speed and time travel paradoxes that keep present day humans from breaching the boundaries of time. Their often-humanoid appearance may suggest a link between the way we look today, and what we might look like thousands of years from now.Ancient aliens may, in fact, be future humans.
