I was taking a small bag of garbage to the garbage unit out in the front yard. I walked out the front door and glanced up, watching birds. Something shiny caught my attention and I looked up and saw a sphere approaching from the west. At first I thought the sun was simply reflecting off of it, but it was too bright and as it moved the light didn't waver as it would have were it merely reflecting light. My first thought was that it reminded me of a satellite in the night sky. The way it moved, the single, unwavering light, and no sound. But of course it wasn't a satellite. Our house is surrounded by tall trees. The object skimmed over the treetops; perhaps about 35 to 40 feet above them. There was absolutely no noise coming from it. I looked away as I went down the steps towards the garbage can, then looked back up as I stepped onto the yard. It was finally dawning on me this was not something you look away from. It was now going over the house, still shining brightly like a powerful light bulb. It was moving along at a pretty good clip; maybe about 40 to 45 miles an hour. Lost sight of it for a second as it disappeared behind some treetops, but I trotted to the driveway and it came back into view for another couple of seconds, still heading easterly, before it again disappeared behind treetops. It would have gone over my neighbor's house next, but only because its path seemed to be following the road rather than heading in a strict eastern direction. It's path was bending slightly north as it made its way across our property and disappeared from view, as does the road. The south side of the road ~ which I live on and which the object was flying over ~ is fairly heavily treed as opposed to the north side, which is more open farm field. It occurred to me after the object disappeared that this was likely just a drone used by law enforcement, but as I pondered the event it seems to me that drones are typically used for spying, which requires stealth. So why would it be emitting light, and a very bright one at that? Furthermore, I've looked at many pictures of drones and none look like this object. Additionally, the speed was surprising. It was moving considerably fast and again, I'm not sure high-speed capabilities are characteristic of law-enforcement drones (or drones in general).

This past Sunday...the 7th. A friend and I were riding two ATVs in a place called, "The Underground" it is a public and private storage facility in Carthage, Mo. What makes this place such a desirable storage facility is that it is all underground...hence the name. They are constantly expanding this place and there are miles and miles of carved out caves in there...and it goes pretty deep. This facility stores thousands and thousands of food containers, all dehydrated for the Navy...I have seen them and it is public knowledge around here. It is also a fall out shelter able to hold some 40,000 to 50,000 people. I tell you this to give some sense of the vastness of the place. I worked there as a subcontractor some 9 years ago...I helped build the office spaces up on top. I started to explore then...about once a month and did so all the way until this past Sunday. However, I never went as far or as deep before either.
It was fun to take the ATVs and cruise underground...no rain or weather problems...ever. We were approx 8 miles in and I'd say maybe 500 feet deep when we took a turn down an area that was marked "Naval Authoritative Zone" I remember making a comment about the Navy getting a ship down there and said that was an easy posting. The walls became more defined as in: polished or finished and this was striking because this was supposed to be a newly blasted area...totally backward I would think...still thinking nothing was wrong we kept going, actually increasing speed because the floor was paved now and we could go faster. We came up on an unusual painted pattern on the floor and I thought, "cool graffiti...kids have been down here...we're safe...won't get into any trouble." The road dipped down and then it took a 90' turn to the left...we had no warning and we were going too fast. I knew we were going to hit the wall. BUT we DIDN'T...we passed through some kind of projection of the cave siding...although I don't know how it was done...it was real looking. We passed into a whole new road system...this one was large, and much older than where we came from. We started to smell an odor...musty,damp, growing stronger as we went deeper on smell. The lighting decreased as well probably 60% less than the other area's...we turned on our headlights. We continued on at about 5 to 7 miles an hour for about 5 min and we noticed it was getting cooler...which was to me, very strange...since once inside a cave a certain distance...the temp says the same. I told him to jump on...and he did. I gunned it and then my friend said, "STOP!" I slowed down and he said, "LOOK!". I looked back and the thing had stopped at the graffiti on the cave floor/road. The ATV was on it's side of the graffiti/symbol. It was obvious the thing would not cross the marking. I slowed more...we were now about 75' feet away. I stopped and the three of us...Me, my friend and the creature/reptile/man thing just looked at each other...for about 15 sec. And let me tell you...that is a long time. Then I started to leave...It stayed there waiting and not moving until we were out of sight.
As soon as we cleared the cave I got on my cell phone and called the Sheriff's Dept. I was told that they would not come out and that "Underground Security" would handle it. Then they hung up! By law they are not to do that...We can hang up on anyone...but a government office, be it City or Federal can not hang up on you.

Zhang Wei and Dai Guobin, workers at a sand processing plant in Zhangjiadian village in Harbin, capital of Heilongjiang, said they witnessed a black flying object, the shape of an eagle and larger than an airplane, at noon on Friday.
The object hovered in the sky about 500 to 1,000 meters from the two workers for about a minute and then flew off, according to Zhang and Dai.
Zhang reported it to Chen Gongfu, 70, a retired professor from the school of astronautics at the Harbin Institute of Technology.
Zhang told China Daily that he was not sure if the object the two saw on Friday was the same one reported Sunday in the Phoenix Mountain National Forest Park, which is about 200 kilometers away from the sand factory.
Chen, who is studying the UFO reports in the forest park, said he has talked to at least four eyewitnesses who said they saw the same flying object at different times and locations.
Li Hui, a tourist, said she saw a luminous flying object hovering low in the sky at 3:42 pm on Sunday when a photographer was taking her picture at a viewing platform in the park.
Li was quoted by Harbin Daily as saying that she unconsciously looked back after taking a picture and saw a floating, shiny object.
But the flying object was taken in a picture by the photographer, Wu Chunyan, who also saw the UFO and quickly pressed the shutter.
The photo clearly shows a luminous object.
Chen, the retired astronautics professor, said the object looked a lot like a moth when he first saw the picture, but he ruled out the possibility as more eyewitnesses in different locations said they also saw the flying object.
Sun Yan, a worker in the park, who was about 10 meters beneath where Li Hui stood, and another worker who was at the gate of the park said they saw the UFO on Sunday. Sun Li, a forest worker, said she witnessed a bright object, as big as a washing basin with gaseous columns on both sides, at around 8 pm the same day, according to Harbin Daily.
Skeptical of the reports is Zhu Jin, curator of Beijing Planetarium, who has been studying UFO reports for years. He said he believes that the flying object was a winged insect.
"It's quite clear that it was an insect, and you can clearly see its wings. It's luminous because of the photoflash," he said. "There is no other possibility as far as my knowledge can tell."
Harbin Daily reported that the photographer used "forced flash" when taking the picture, meaning the camera's flash was used despite strong lighting in the background.
"Many people called us and asked if UFOs really visited the park," Kang Tai, a manager with the park, said on Friday.
Kang, who has worked in the park for more than four years, said that although he personally did not see a UFO, he received UFO pictures taken in the park by tourists several times, most recently in 2011.
In fact, 18 years ago, UFOs reportedly visited the park.
