UPDATE: A curious object spotted above Queens Park has left both an amateur photographer and a world-renowned astronomer scratching their heads.
Toowoomba man Stephen Kirby was taking part in an activity with Toowoomba photography group when he inadvertently snapped the object.
"I didnt see it when I took the photograph but when I got home and had the photograph on the screen I noticed it," Mr Kirby said.
"It left me wondering what it was."
Mr Kirby captured the image on his Sony A350.
He then enlarged the image and had the photograph printed.
The developed image revealed a green-hued disk shaped object, with trail of white cloud-like smudges closely behind.
"The people at the photo shop couldnt explain it either."
University of Southern Queenslands world renowned astronomer Professor Brad Carter said the image was certainly "curious".
"Id agree that it is unidentified, but whether its flying or floating, I dont know," Professor Carter said....

I placed a plot watcher in the National Park two weeks ago. (05/26/2012). I retrieved the SD card from the plot watcher on 06/09/2012. The plot watcher was programmed to take one photograph every 10 seconds. While reviewing the footage I notice at 08:43 AM on 05/29/2012 a Bigfoot sneaks up to a tree approximately 150 feet away and peeks around the tree trunk at my camera.

The camera captured 11 frames of the Bigfoot moving back and forth behind the tree trunk.
The Bigfoot is huge, I can only estimate but I can confidently say it was larger than 8 foot tall. I combine two photos, one taken of me and one of the Bigfoot. Aligned and scaled the photograph. Even though the Bigfoot is 50 feet behind me, it's head is larger than mine. The Bigfoot is also 4 feet tall compared to me in a crouched position. I do not know the correct mathematical formula to figure the Bigfoot's size but I would think it would be at least 5 feet tall in a squat.
I am amazed that the Bigfoot apparently knew where the plot watcher was located and was interested in peaking at it only.
Unfortunately the resolution of the Plot Watcher is not very good at that distance. I used the above still capture to make a drawing of what the Bigfoot may have looked like.

The object had no defined shape that I could make out at first. It was like a morphing shape-shifting blob of black. The black blob was roughly the size of a rice grain at arms length. It's altitude I would guess was between 500 - 1,000 feet. I was now curious as to what this thing was. I decided to run into the house for a pair of binoculars I own, Bushnell 10x50s. I hurried back outside. The object was still in the sky, but further along its flight path now and closer to me. I used my binoculars to zoom in on the object. When I located it, I was at a lost to explain or even begin to understand what I was seeing. It was a cluster of 6-7 hexagonal shaped saucers all of which were charcoal-black in color. Much like the stealth color. They were spinning on their axis, making a full rotation every few seconds. As well, they were all rotating at about the same speed around this intense purple light at the center of this cluster. The purple was light, almost pink, as opposed to being a dark shade like violet. The light didn't appear to emanate from any solid object, yet it seemed to be responsible for holding this cluster together. I was shocked, impressed and a little scared. I've seen all kinds of sci-fi alien movies with saucers and UFOs. I have never seen anything even remotely close to what this looked like. I couldn't imagine what such a thing would be used for. It was really bizarre! The black saucers were rotating around this purple light much like satellites do around Earth. Of each saucer, one hexagon face always pointed at the light and the other away from it. Like the moon does as it revolves around us. All the while, none of them were colliding into each other despite all of them rotating in every which way. I couldn't see anything that resembled a cockpit. I didn't get the impression that this thing was manned. Simply from the way it flew, I don't see how a pilot would be feasible. The entire time, I'm describing what I'm seeing to my roommate. I asked him to take a look at it through the binoculars, but he declined. He had showed no interest in seeing it or hearing about it. I had my smart phone on me and decided to take a picture of it before it was gone. It doesn't take very good images so I didn't mess with it upon first realizing this is a UFO. My phone was an LG Optimus S. The camera is 3.2 Megapixel. My zoom was set at 4 mm. I only took one picture of it, more or less to have a date and time stamp of the sighting and show the black spot at least. It was taken at 6:53 PM and shows the eastern sky from the backyard. The UFO was passing over E Broadway Blvd at this point somewhere between Craycroft and Wilmot Rd. It was still heading towards DMAFB. From me, the UFO was about 2 miles away at it's closest. I never heard any sound. Most jets I would hear this close. I continued watching it through my binoculars. I moved to the front yard when the UFO became impossible to see because of the roof blocking my line of sight. I eventually lost visual of it to the south of me. It was around E 22nd St by then. I presume it had to be flying into military airspace at some point.

ENCOUNTER: From this position I immediately observed a floating orb of bright white light (golf ball sized at first) inside the room about 25 feet from my position, about 4 feet above the floor. The orb of light moved slowly around the opposite end of the room and changed shapes as I watched motionless and bewildered. To the best of my recollection the changes happened in this order: It changed shape from golf ball sized to volleyball sized and back to golf ball sized, then from the golf ball size it became linier, 4-5 feet vertical about 1 inch thick, than back to circular shape the size of a golf ball. Then back to vertical linier shape and back to circular, golf ball sized. Then from golf ball sized to smaller - almost pinpoint sized, but still quite bright. These changes in shape were immediate. While pinpoint sized it moved rapidly (flash like) through an opened slatted window that had a screen. END OF ENCOUNTER The window curtains were open, and it was still very dark out. The entire encounter lasted about 30 seconds. What was so odd was the interior of the room did not get any brighter from this light source. I remember immediately rationalizing the incident to myself, thinking it was some sort of reflection off the slatted window panels and went back to sleep, never getting up to check further. The next few days I remember trying to find a source of light that could have made this happen, but no such lighting was ever found. I remember feeling bewildered but not afraid. I don't know why I woke up at that particular moment in time, I didn't have to use the restroom and my normal wake up time was much later (about 6 am). I was definitely not dreaming. Weather that night was clear and about 55-65 degrees - typical summer weather for that time and place. The single family residence is located on a cul-de-sac with the rear yard facing a golf course. The slatted window, where the object left the room, faces the rear yard/golf course. If you are looking out this window from inside, no roads are within sight of the window. There is a swimming pool in the rear yard that could have reflected light but I could never find a light source. I was at that residence for a few more weeks then moved out of the area. Note: I know what reflective light on an interior wall looks like and how it moves when cars or light sources pass by, more 2 Dimensional, but this was quite different, not against the interior wall, but between the wall and myself (3 Dimensional). I have never seen anything like that since. A modern day laser scanner is the closest thing to what I saw that night. But even that description is insufficient. Throughout my life I have told only a few close friends about what I observed. The reason I decided to put this in writing is so that you (MUFON) have a record. Possibly others have had similar experiences to this and may feel some comfort knowing others have seen these sorts of orbs/lights before.
